The goal of the course is to learn how to use visual tools that help a photographer express the mood and content of a shot.
Interesting creative solutions in photography usually appear when the author has a thought or mood that he wants to share with the viewer. In this course, we will study visual tools that help to express emotions and convey ideas.
How the course is held:
The first stage is a lecture. Its task is to lay the groundwork and build a general understanding of what visual tools are available in a composition, and what are the possibilities to convey a mood, convey a thought to the viewer, and most importantly, evoke emotions. In class, we analyze all this in detail.
For some instruments, understanding is enough. For example, when you know how to work with texture, in staged photography, you simply select the appropriate background in advance. With other tools, such as rhyme, frame composition, you often have to work during the shooting, and the result will be only if you have practiced a lot before and translated your knowledge into skills brought to automaticity.
The second and main stage of this course is dedicated to practice. You will practice all the topics and tools discussed in the lecture part by completing practical assignments.
You will receive detailed feedback on each photo from the instructor. Throughout the course, he will answer all your questions and explain the material individually as much as necessary. His main task is to get you to come up with interesting creative solutions, in which he will see your confident mastery of the expressive means of photography.
The training period depends on the level of your previous training and your personal schedule.
We welcome both artists and people who have not previously encountered visual arts. Different students have different situations with free time and a comfortable speed of completing homework. If students devote six to eight hours a week to their studies, they complete the course in six months. But most often this course lasts a year.
